The story launch pageWelcome to The Multiple Perspectives of Jekyll and Hyde. This is a hypertext version of Robert Louis Stevenson's The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

In this version, it is possible to read the full story from the perspective of the four main characters: Dr Jekyll (and Mr Hyde), Mr Utterson, Dr Lanyon, and Dr Jekyll's butler, Poole. To start reading the stories, go back to the home page and click on the 'Enter the Stories' link which will take you to a page from which you can choose your entry point.

You can return to the Home Page at any time by clicking on the J&H image at the top left of the screen.

Start your story Once you have chosen a story to read, click on the 'Read on...' link to enter the story. From there you can move backwards and forwards through your particular chosen narrative by using the Previous Link and Next Link links.

You can also move between the stories using two different methods. First, when there is a connection of any kind between two stories, the character's tab will become highlighted.

Clicking on this tab will take you to the corresponding narrative for that character. If the tab is displayed in grey

then there is no link to that character.

The second method of moving between the characters are the in-text links. These appear when two characters have a significant interaction.
In text link example
The links are colour coded according to character. Clicking on them will take you to that character to see how he views the interaction. From there you can move back, or carry on reading that character.

At the end of some of the narratives, there is access to two letters. These are taken straight from Stevenson's novella. At the end of each of these letters you can return to the main letters page and from there back to the Home page.
