Tonight I don't partake in any of these activities, I simply march round the streets drinking it all in and feeding the inner man. In this manner, hours pass, and finally even this part of the town starts to sleep. Not all of it, but enough to make it less interesting. So, feeling him stir inside me, I decide to return to his house.
As warm as if I had spent the night in a hot bath, and still full of energy, I am walking down the street towards my door when a foolish child cannons into me as if from nowhere. I glance quickly at my watch as she falls beneath my feet, wondering what such a child is doing out in the street at three o'clock of such a cold morning. Do her family have no care of her? I stumble slightly as she carelessly lets her shoulder get under my left foot and her arm under my other, then I am off the pavement and crossing the empty road.
