Along with the creative writing course, Writing Skills, and the Renaissance Literature course, I was also an associate on the first year module in academic research and writing, Research Methods.

This course introduced the students to the concepts that would help them complete the essays for both coursework and exams for the rest of the degree. It covered the idea of an 'argument', how to express it, how to structure paragraphs, referencing, plagiarism, layout, etc.
